This evolution expands MRK’s national platform and advances its mission to deliver high-quality, affordable housing at scale.
COLLINGSWOOD, NEW JERSEY (May 11, 2026) — MRK Partners, Inc., a mission-driven affordable housing developer, today announced the integration of Ingerman Development and Ingerman Management Company into its national affordable housing platform. The move represents a major expansion of MRK’s platform, bringing more than 100 Mid-Atlantic communities into its growing portfolio, now approaching 11,000 affordable units, and positioning MRK as an end-to-end affordable housing provider spanning development, preservation, lease-up, and long-term operations.
The platform expansion includes Ingerman’s development and property management teams, while its construction operations will remain with Ingerman and continue independently.
The Ingerman teams will operate within MRK’s shared vision and leadership structure, maintaining their expertise and established relationships. MRK will continue to work closely with its existing management partners to ensure seamless operations and a high standard of resident service as the platform integrates over time.
As one of the nation’s only affordable housing platforms founded and led entirely by women, MRK reflects a commitment to elevating diverse leadership and shaping a more inclusive future for the industry. Under the leadership of Founder and President Sydne Garchik, MRK has built a track record of stewarding complex, multi-million-dollar affordable housing transactions. Backed by a leadership team with more than a century of combined industry expertise, the organization has demonstrated an ability to execute at scale without losing sight of its mission.
The integration comes at a time when the affordability crisis continues to deepen across the Mid-Atlantic and nationwide, with demand for quality, stable housing continuing to outpace supply. The expanded platform positions MRK to further preserve affordability, strengthen operations, and scale its resident-centered approach across a broader portfolio.
Ingerman brings more than 30 years of experience in the Mid-Atlantic, with a longstanding reputation for quality and integrity. The relationship-driven, deal-specific approach that has defined Ingerman’s success aligns with MRK’s national platform and strategic vision, strengthening the organization’s ability to scale thoughtfully.
“This marks a defining moment in MRK’s continued growth,” said Garchik. “By integrating Ingerman’s strong Mid-Atlantic foundation with MRK’s expanding platform, we are strengthening our ability to deliver deeply impactful, high-quality affordable housing that meets the needs of today’s communities while building the foundation for future generations.”
The integration also strengthens MRK’s ability to deliver a consistent experience across its growing portfolio. Looking ahead, the addition of Ingerman’s property management platform positions MRK to serve as an end–to–end provider, with the ability to oversee the full resident lifecycle, from development and lease-up through ongoing operations.
As of May 1, MRK’s Mid-Atlantic communities are now operating under MRK Property Management, creating greater alignment between ownership and operations while reinforcing MRK’s long-term commitment to quality housing, resident experience, and operational oversight.
MRK is recognized for its commitment to resident empowerment through IMGN Communities and BLOOM, which provide programming focused on education, financial literacy, and opportunity. Programming provided through IMGN Communities is expected to extend across the expanded portfolio, reinforcing the company’s commitment to creating communities where people want to live, not just where they can afford to live.
